Max Ackermann is co-founder and Creative Director of design and development studio Ludopoli based in Zurich/Prague/London, a design and development consultancy specialising in web-based and mobile services. In addition to developing their own applications, Ludopoli work with private individuals, small to medium-sized companies, charities, universities, the government, and large internationals such as the BBC, G4S, or Lindt.

Previously, while a freelance designer, Max worked for London-based architects Walters & Cohen, as well as the British Council.

A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Max strongly believes in the value of academic research and teaching. At age 28, Max was appointed Design Route Leader of BA (Hons) Graphic Design at renowned Central Saint Martins College (University of the Arts London), where he lectures two days a week.

Together with Dr Rathna Ramanathan, Max set up Rethink & Respond, an association providing learning opportunities and professional support for young graphic designers.

Max holds a post-graduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching and a first-class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. In 1998 he won a scholarship to attend the United World College of the Atlantic, Wales, where the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) was first piloted.

Max grew up in Germany and has lived in both California and Wales. He now resides in London.
